Principal Software Engineer, Tech Lead (TypeScript)

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Software Engineer Tech Lead (typescript) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $160,000 – $175,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical decisions across Growth Studio teams
• Define scalable service patterns and AI-enabled workflows
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate goals into roadmaps
• Architect solutions to complex product issues
• Guide integration with various internal and external systems
• Establish best practices for software design and maintainability
• Perform architecture and code reviews, ensuring high quality

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in building and evolving complex software products
• Significant experience in technical leadership, solution design, or architecture
• Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript and backend infrastructure
• Strong understanding of modern web architecture and distributed systems
• Experience with AI-enabled product capabilities
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
• Ability to thrive in a high-ownership, ambiguous environment
• Passion for delivering solutions that benefit GovCon customers
