Principal Technical Architect

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Technical Architect to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape enterprise solution architecture and technical direction across a portfolio of modern applications and AI-enabled systems. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and delivery leaders to turn requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions. The position also calls for strong judgment in architecture patterns, performance, integration, and modernization initiatives.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $153,000 – $186,300 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and validate enterprise-grade solution architectures based on business needs.
• Architect agentic systems, applying safe AI guardrails and orchestration patterns.
• Translate business requirements into maintainable applications and agents using the company's platform.
• Define architecture patterns that encourage reusability and lower maintenance.
• Assess current applications for performance and propose modernization solutions.
• Identify non-functional requirements and integration needs across the application portfolio.
• Mentor teams on architecture and development best practices to enhance capabilities.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of software development experience, specifically in web or mobile applications.
• 4 years in architecture or technical leadership with application of architecture patterns.
• Strong skills in architecture design, project delivery practices, and application performance assessment.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer engagements.
• Experience designing AI solutions, particularly LLM applications and agentic frameworks.
• Familiarity with .NET, C#, SQL, and modern web technologies is preferred.
