Principal Technical Consultant - Forward Deployed Engineer, AI Security

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Technical Consultant - Forward Deployed Engineer, AI Security to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will sit at the intersection of AI security, customer implementation, and technical consulting, helping enterprise clients deploy secure AI solutions in real-world environments. The individual will translate governance and operational requirements into practical architectures and plans, working closely with customer stakeholders and internal teams to drive adoption. A strong mix of hands-on security engineering, cloud-native experience, and executive-facing consulting will be essential to delivering successful engagements.

The position is remote and requires a trusted advisor who can guide clients through onboarding, implementation, and operationalization of AI security controls across diverse platforms.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $200,000 – $230,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and operationalization of AI security solutions in customer environments
• Create technical proposals and solution architectures for AI security engagements
• Translate operational and AI security requirements into deployable plans
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with AI governance and compliance
• Act as the trusted advisor throughout client onboarding and implementation phases
• Design and integrate across diverse AI platforms and security tools
• Operationalize security controls and monitoring for AI systems

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security engineering, AI engineering, or related fields at a senior or principal level
• Hands-on experience securing AI systems, LLM applications, or AI production pipelines
• Experience with cloud-native architectures on major providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong background in data telemetry, normalization, and security analytics for AI systems
• Track record of developing technical proposals and engagement documents
• Ability to lead without direct authority and influence cross-team collaborations
• Proven experience working with customers and executive stakeholders in implementation environments
