Principal Technologist - VMware

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Technologist - VMware to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on designing and optimizing Hybrid Infrastructure solutions that help customers align technology strategy with business objectives.

You will serve as a consultative technical partner in complex sales engagements, working closely with customers and internal teams to shape scalable architectures and compelling solution proposals.

The position also calls for strong collaboration, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence technical outcomes across the sales cycle.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $151,350 – $211,870 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive Hybrid Infrastructure solutions, including architecture and optimization
• Provide consultative guidance to align technology with business objectives
• Lead complex sales engagements, including Statements of Work and proposals
• Analyze technical and competitive factors to design scalable solutions
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers and internal teams
• Act as a trusted advisor in Hybrid Infrastructure technologies
• Collaborate with teams to enhance solution offerings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years in a technical pre-sales or post-sale role, or 14+ years without a degree
• Motivated self-starter capable of high-quality independent work
• Extensive experience in Hybrid Infrastructure and related technologies
• Strong collaborative skills across cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in technical settings
• Experience mentoring and influencing technical teams
