Principal TLM - ML Data Infrastructure

For our client, we are seeking a Principal TLM - ML Data Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This leader will guide the technical direction for machine learning data infrastructure that supports scalable, high-quality data processing and analytics across the organization. The role will partner closely with engineering, data, and business teams to define architecture, improve pipelines, and strengthen the foundation for AI and ML initiatives. It is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who can balance hands-on technical depth with team mentorship and cross-functional influence.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $275,000 – $348,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering teams to develop machine learning data infrastructure
• Define architectural patterns for data processes using Agile methodology
• Collaborate with teams to determine data requirements and technical specifications
• Analyze existing systems for potential improvements in data pipelines
• Design efficient data flows and system architectures using current technologies
• Evaluate and integrate new tools to enhance machine learning data capabilities
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and promote continuous learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or software development focused on machine learning
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams
• Deep expertise in large-scale data systems and analytical platforms
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java
• Strong understanding of AI and ML requirements
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
