LETTERSHOP INSERTER OPERATOR

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday

Hours: 6AM-2PM

SUMMARY

Operates various pieces of Mailing Services equipment for the addressing and insertion of printed products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Follow instructions accurately.
• Cooperate with others in department and company to achieve company goals.
• Set up and operate various mailing equipment.
• Sort mail to USPS regulations.
• Keep Mailing Services equipment clean and report any repairs needed to department manager.
• Report time and material consumption accurately.
• Preserve and pass along customer artwork in clean and undamaged condition.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Load printed materials into various types of feeders.
• Monitor equipment for malfunction and perform basic adjustments to clear malfunction.
• Meet or exceed production standards set for the operation being performed.
• Obey company rules and observe all safety regulations.
• Understand your role in the company’s Quality Management System regarding ISO.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a printing, lettershop, direct mail, or mailing services environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience with inserting equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external and internal customers.
• Good skills in keyboarding, reading, organization, and math skills include adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
• Knowledgeable in Inventory Control principles.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent Lifting 20lbs, walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, and working on a computer.
• Occasional lifting 50lbs, pulling, pushing, bending, reaching over shoulder, kneeling, climbing ladders, operating mechanical equipment, and operating motor vehicles.

PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
