Print Production Associate with CSR Skills

Position Overview

In this dual-role position, you will be the friendly face of our shop while also managing the day-to-day operation of our production and finishing equipment. You will work closely with customers to understand their printing and marketing needs, manage orders from initial intake to final delivery, and operate state-of-the-art digital printing and finishing machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Print Production & Operations:

• Operate digital printing presses, copiers, wide-format printers, and bindery equipment (cutters, folders, laminators, binding machines).
• Prepare, review, and adjust digital files for print production (pre-flighting, checking bleed, resolution, and color).
• Manage inventory of paper, ink, toner, and other production supplies, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor technical issues as they arise.
• Ensure all jobs meet strict quality control standards before packaging for customer pickup or delivery.

Customer Service & Sales Support:

• Greet customers warmly in person, over the phone, and via email, providing expert guidance on print products and services.
• Consult with clients to understand project goals, recommend appropriate stock/finishing options, and provide accurate price quotes.
• Process incoming orders, manage job tickets in our workflow software, and handle customer checkouts/payments.
• Follow up on estimates, resolve customer inquiries or issues professionally, and build lasting relationships with local businesses.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Previous experience in a quick-print shop, print production environment, or customer service/retail role is highly preferred.
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or Microsoft Office / graphic design basics is a strong plus.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, manage tight deadlines, and prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move boxes and paper stock weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or college training in graphic design or print technology is a plus.
