Printer Engineer

A. Printer Repair and Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair laser, inkjet, and multifunction printers.
• Troubleshoot paper jams, print quality issues, connectivity problems, error codes, and printer hardware failures.
• Repair and replace printer components such as fusers, pickup rollers, separation pads, transfer rollers, drums, printheads, and maintenance kits.
• Identify issues related to power supplies, formatter boards, DC controllers, sensors, motors, and other electronic components.
• Perform printer setup, configuration, driver installation, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Resolve issues related to USB, LAN, Wi-Fi, and shared network printing.

B. Preventive Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of printers and multifunction devices.
• Clean internal printer components and inspect rollers, sensors, and other wear-and-tear parts.
• Check printer performance, print quality, paper feeding, and overall device functionality.
• Replace consumables and worn-out components as required.
• Maintain service history and recommend corrective action to prevent recurring issues.

C. Onsite Customer Support

• Visit customer locations to attend printer service calls and resolve technical issues.
• Respond to service requests within the agreed SLA and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with customers and internal service coordinators regarding call status and pending issues.
• Explain technical issues and repair recommendations to customers professionally.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain professional conduct at customer sites.

D. Technical Documentation and Reporting

• Update service tickets with problem descriptions, root cause, actions taken, and resolution details.
• Submit service reports and obtain customer confirmation or sign-off after completing the service.
• Maintain records of spare parts used, replaced components, and pending requirements.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the service manager or manufacturer-authorized service team.
• Maintain proper records of preventive maintenance and repeat service calls.

E. Spare Parts and Inventory Management

• Identify the correct spare parts required for printer repairs.
• Verify part numbers and compatibility before replacement.
• Coordinate with the service coordinator for spare parts availability and collection.
• Maintain accountability for company tools, spare parts, and service equipment.

3. Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience in repairing HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Ricoh, or similar brand printers.
• Knowledge of laser printers, inkjet printers, and multifunction printers.
• Understanding of printer mechanisms, fusers, rollers, drums, printheads, sensors, and formatter boards.
• Ability to diagnose hardware faults and resolve print quality issues.
• Knowledge of printer drivers, USB/LAN connectivity, network printing, and basic TCP/IP troubleshooting.
• Ability to use service manuals and technical documentation to diagnose faults.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and printer installation.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
