Role Description The Printer / IT Technician - 01016 is a full-time, on-site role based in Colombo. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining printers, multifunction devices, and related office automation equipment, including routine calibration and preventive maintenance. The technician will diagnose and resolve printer hardware and software issues, manage print queues, and support users with printing-related queries. Daily tasks include monitoring print production workflows, coordinating with suppliers for consumables and spare parts, and ensuring minimal downtime of printing equipment. The role also includes maintaining technical documentation, collaborating with IT team members on infrastructure-related tasks, and adhering to company safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Printer Support, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of printers and multifunction devices.
• Experience in Print Production and Printing operations, with an understanding of workflows, quality control, and output optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Inkjet printers, including configuration, calibration, and consumable management.
• Basic IT hardware and networking knowledge (e.g., connecting devices to networks, driver installation, and print server configuration).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in IT, electronics, or a related field; prior experience in a print or office automation environment is an advantage.
