Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on printers, copiers, and related electro-mechanical components to identify hardware faults.
• Conduct field service repairs and maintenance on office equipment, including troubleshooting software issues and resolving connectivity problems within computer networks.
• Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) documentation to guide repairs and ensure precise troubleshooting.
• Repair and replace mechanical parts, electrical components, and other hardware to restore equipment to optimal working condition.
• Support customers with technical troubleshooting support via on-site visits or remote assistance, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed service records, including logs of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each visit.
• Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform routine maintenance, upgrades, or emergency repairs efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in printer and copier repair or related office equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot electro-mechanical components effectively.
• Proficiency in computer hardware support, including understanding network configurations relevant to office printing systems.
• Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and OEM documentation accurately for precise repairs.
• Skilled in using hand tools and field service equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients.
• Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices in a field service setting.
• Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques related to printer drivers and network connectivity issues.
• Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple service calls efficiently.
