Printing Press Operator

Job Summary
We are urgently seeking an experienced Print Specialist to join our fast-paced production facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within the commercial printing and/or direct mail industry and a strong understanding of print production equipment, quality standards, and troubleshooting.

This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with high-volume production while maintaining accuracy and print quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and assist with setup of commercial printing and print-finishing equipment
• Set up jobs according to production specifications, work orders, and customer requirements
• Monitor print quality throughout production, including color, registration, alignment, image quality, and overall consistency
• Perform machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets established quality standards and job specifications
• Perform routine operator maintenance and maintain equipment in proper working condition
• Identify and report equipment, print-quality, or production issues promptly
• Accurately document production information, quantities, waste, and job completion
• Work closely with production, bindery, mailing, and quality teams to ensure jobs move efficiently through the facility
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

• Previous commercial printing or high-volume production printing experience is strongly preferred
• Experience operating digital, inkjet, offset, or other commercial print production equipment
• Strong understanding of print quality, job specifications, and production processes
• Ability to perform machine setups, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to identify print defects and make appropriate adjustments
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a production team
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality work

Preferred Experience

Experience with high-speed digital/inkjet printing, commercial print production, variable-data printing, mailing operations, bindery equipment, or similar production environments is highly desirable.
