Interprint Web Printing is looking for an experienced, quality-focused Komori Press Operator to operate our advanced 40-inch, 5-color LED-UV Komori Lithrone sheetfed printing press. We’re seeking a dependable professional with strong mechanical skills, an eye for detail, and a commitment to producing outstanding print quality.

Our press combines high-performance offset printing with advanced LED-UV curing technology for efficient production and immediate dry-to-touch results. Equipped with an inline aqueous coater and automated features, this press offers an excellent opportunity for an operator who understands precision printing and efficient pressroom operations.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for press setup, operation, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and print quality throughout production. This position also involves directing the press crew, coordinating workflow, and ensuring that production schedules, quality expectations, and safety standards are consistently met.

Our Press Technology

Our 40-inch, 5-color Komori Lithrone is equipped with advanced features designed to improve efficiency, consistency, and print quality:

• LED-UV Curing Technology for fast curing and dry-to-touch production
• Inline Aqueous Coater (AQ) for efficient coating application
• Automatic Plate Changing to streamline press setup
• Automatic Wash-Up Systems for ink rollers, blanket cylinders, and impression cylinders
• KHS-AI (Komori Hyper System with AI) featuring self-learning ink presetting and registration systems designed to significantly reduce makeready sheets and setup waste compared with traditional press setups

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a 40-inch, 5-color LED-UV Komori Lithrone sheetfed press equipped with an AQ coater.
• Operate and monitor the aqueous coating and LED-UV curing systems.
• Prepare the press for production, including plates, paper, ink, coating, feeder, and delivery systems.
• Maintain accurate color, registration, ink density, coating application, and consistent print quality throughout each run.
• Make necessary press adjustments to meet job specifications, maintain quality, and minimize waste.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and printing issues, performing routine press maintenance as needed.
• Lead and direct the press crew while coordinating production workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pressroom.
• Follow established company quality-control, production, and safety procedures.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining customer specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets established requirements.

Qualifications and Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical knowledge, hands-on pressroom experience, and leadership ability, including:

• Previous experience operating multi-color sheetfed offset printing presses, preferably Komori equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Working knowledge of multi-color offset printing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, including color accuracy and registration.
• Ability to lead, direct, and work effectively with a press crew.
• A commitment to print quality, productivity, and workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make sound production decisions.
