Job Summary

This role is to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance on privacy, data protection, artificial intelligence, and emerging technology matters across our global operations. This role will partner closely with Legal, Information Security, IT, Operations, HR, and other business functions to advise on privacy requirements affecting our business, including new client programs, technology implementations, software platforms, data processing activities, and the use of artificial intelligence.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to business on the interaction of applicable privacy law on the activities of a global call center, including new programs and software use
• Review policies and contracts related to data protection and privacy, and AI governance
• DPO duties in relevant jurisdictions and/or manage third party DPOs
• Keep abreast of changes in the laws related to new technologies and use thereof
• Provide compliance guidance on telemarketing, collections and other licensure.
• Legal research, contract review, and other general legal work as required by the business
• Other legal work as necessary to support the business

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience in privacy law or equivalent
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other applicable U.S. and international privacy and data protection frameworks.
• Experience advising businesses on privacy and data protection requirements in a practical, commercially focused manner.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across functions, geographies, and levels of leadership.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a global Legal team.
• Ability to work Pacific Time business hours.
