Private Client Solicitor

We are working with an established Belfast law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Private Client practice within their Bangor office.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a nationally ranked advising on a variety of private client matters, including wills and estate planning, probate and estate administration, and trusts and tax planning. The candidate will engage in private client-related responsibilities to support individuals and families, including liaising with third party providers and drafting and reviewing legal documents, as well as advising on mental capacity issues, including Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPoAs) and Controllership Orders.

The candidate will work within the firm’s Bangor office, with work within their Belfast office occurring one or two days a week. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.

Essential Criteria:

• 2+ years’ PQE;
• Strong background in wills, trusts, and estate planning. Background in two or more areas highly desirable;
• Strong academics;
• Technically excellent;
• Negotiation skills;
• Willingness to become involved in business development;
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
