Job Description

We are looking for a well-educated, caring, confident, and responsible Private Governess / Child Development Educator to support the overall education, personal growth, and development of our 6-year-old daughter.

This is not a regular nanny position. We are seeking a dedicated professional who can become a trusted mentor and positive role model for our child, supporting her learning, communication, confidence, creativity, discipline, and everyday development in a warm and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with schoolwork, homework, revision, and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Develop spoken English, vocabulary, reading, storytelling, and communication skills.
• Encourage reading habits and creative expression.
• Plan educational games, puzzles, arts and crafts, and engaging learning activities.
• Organize indoor and outdoor play and age-appropriate developmental activities.
• Accompany the child to extracurricular classes, playdates, parks, libraries, events, and other outings.
• Encourage confidence, independence, good manners, social skills, and appropriate etiquette.
• Maintain a structured, enjoyable, and balanced daily routine.
• Help organize school materials, books, toys, and activity schedules.
• Supervise screen time and encourage productive alternatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child's learning, activities, behaviour, and progress.
• Be willing to travel with the child and family within India and internationally, whenever required.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• candidate with a graduate-level education.
• B.Ed., Montessori, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, English, or a related qualification is preferred.
• Previous experience as a teacher, governess, private educator, tutor, or child-development professional is highly desirable.
• Excellent spoken English. Knowledge of Malayalam is an advantage.
• Warm, patient, energetic, well-mannered, and emotionally mature.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable accompanying the child outside the home and during family travel.
• Interested in a long-term professional engagement with the family.
• References and background/police verification will be required.
