Private Housekeeper

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage daily upkeep and deep cleaning of a private residence, including bedrooms, living areas, kitchen, bathrooms and outdoor areas

• Handle laundry, ironing, folding and proper storage of clothes, linens and household items

• Keep kitchen, pantry and fridge clean, organized and properly stocked

• Prepare meals and assist with serving — open to learn if you don't already know how to

• Run personal errands such as grocery shopping, market runs and household supplies restocking

• Maintain inventory of cleaning materials, toiletries and household essentials and report when restocking is needed

• Ensure proper care and handling of luxury items, appliances and surfaces

• Maintain discretion, confidentiality and security of the home at all times

• Welcome and attend to guests in the home in a polite and professional manner

• Support with packing, unpacking, and organization for travel or events

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years experience as a Housekeeper in a private home or hotel

• Very neat, presentable, honest and trustworthy with high sense of confidentiality

• Proactive and takes initiative without waiting to be told what to do

• Able to follow instructions accurately and carry out tasks to standard

• Open to learn, correct and adapt to the household's preferences and routines

• Physically fit, energetic and able to work long hours when needed

• Basic cooking skills or willingness to learn, and knowledge of modern cleaning equipment and chemicals

• Good spoken English and ability to communicate respectfully

• Lives within Lagos and has verifiable references and guarantor
