Duties

• Design and deliver customized softball training programs that enhance skills such as batting, pitching, fielding, and game strategies
• Provide clear instruction on sports-specific techniques while emphasizing safety protocols and proper equipment use
• Foster a fun, inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players of various ages and skill levels
• Monitor player progress through assessments and adjust coaching methods accordingly to maximize development
• Maintain a safe environment by implementing first aid procedures, operating AED devices when necessary, and adhering to health and safety standards
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about player progress, behavior, and upcoming training sessions or events
• Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to ensure respectful conduct during sessions

Experience

• Prior experience coaching or training in softball.
• Demonstrated ability to work with children and youth in educational or sports settings with strong behavior management skills
• Knowledge of sports coaching techniques including team leadership, skill development drills, and game strategy implementation
• Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator), first aid, and child safety are highly preferred
• Experience teaching physical education or working within health clubs or gyms is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with players, parents, and team members while fostering a positive coaching environment

Pay: $25.27 - $30.43 per hour
