Amore Learning is a DC-based boutique education business focused on inspiring a love of learning in our students. We offer creative after school enrichment programs in several DC area schools, as well as tutoring and education consulting. Our philosophy is that by having fun with the learning process, we can foster success in kids of all ages. We are a small and selective group of committed teachers who love what we do and do what we love!

We are seeking warm, experienced educator to lead a personalized academic tutoring lessons in and near NW Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a teacher who brings both structure and creativity, and who loves fostering confidence, independence, and joy in the learning process. We are hiring for a variety of skillsets including Spanish, reading and writing, math, Speech Language Pathology, and Occupational Therapy.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Options for 1-10 hours a week
• Location: NW DC (Amore HQ) or nearby schools, clients' homes, or local libraries

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver a customized learning plan for individual students
• Build strong rapport and relationships
• Communicate regularly with parents and Amore Learning’s team to share progress and adapt programming as needed
• Foster a nurturing, upbeat, and focused learning environment
• Planning support and all materials provided by Amore Learning

Qualifications:

• Degree in education or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience
• Strong ability to individualize instruction and create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences
• Strong communication skills
• Positive, dependable, and warm presence
• Ability to utilize online teaching platform
• Flexible and adaptable nature

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 10.0 per week
