Private Violin/Cello Instructor - Friday Evenings

Are you a passionate violin/cello instructor who loves inspiring students of all ages and skill levels? Lutherville Music School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Violin/Cello Teacher to join our team of talented musicians and educators!

Our mission is to provide high-quality, personalized music education in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Responsibilities:

• Teach private and/or group violin/cello lessons to students ranging from beginner to advanced
• Develop customized lesson plans based on individual student needs and goals
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and other performance opportunities
• Maintain clear and timely communication with students, parents, and school administration
• Participate in faculty meetings, events, and student showcases as needed

Qualifications:

• Degree in Violin/Cello Performance, Music Education, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Teaching experience with children, teens, and/or adults preferred
• Strong knowledge of string technique, repertoire, and music theory
• Ability to teach a variety of styles (e.g., classical, musical theatre, pop, etc.) is a plus
• Warm, encouraging, and professional demeanor
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must
