This is a surgery center in Creve Couer, MO! We are looking for staff to work two days a week, Thursday and Friday. This a great opportunity to work only a couple shifts a week!

Summary

As a Registered Nurse - Operating Room , you will be an integral part of our surgical team, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and support as needed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the surgical process.
• Implement infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
• Educate patients and their families about pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all relevant patient information accurately in medical records.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery center setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices and protocols.
• Proficient in airway management techniques and spinal tap procedures.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including children when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
