PRN Physical Therapist Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a PTA to work PRN in our clinic periodically, 4-6 times a month . In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality therapeutic care to patients in an outpatient physical therapy clinic. Your hours will vary based on the need of the clinic per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients leaving the facility.
• Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols within the clinic or facility.

Experience

PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT LICENSE IS REQUIRED

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
• Experience in outpatient setting and comfortable with manual therapy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
