Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant school.
• Associate of Applied Science degree.
• Current CPR certification Knowledge of general Physical Therapy practice act.
• Capable of communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Physical Therapy policy and procedures.

We are currently seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated Rehabilitation Team.

Pay Scale: $35.00 per hour

Essential Functions

• Provides patient treatments utilizing modalities of exercise, heat, cold, massage, mobilization, hydrotherapy, light therapy, electricity and patient education as established in the plan of care.
• Document the patient progress for review by other rehabilitation team members.
• Instructs patients in proper gait techniques, exercises and use of assistive devices and ADLs.
• Responsible for the personal care of the patient, environment and privacy throughout the treatment.
• Responsible for proper care of orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
• Completes billing procedures when necessary.
• Assists in maintaining the Rehab Department and keeping the equipment clean/orderly.
• Participates in hospital in servicing as assigned by the Rehab Director.
