PRN Speech-Language Pathologist - SLP

Speech therapy evaluations and resident sessions run alongside nursing handoffs and restorative nursing care. PRN therapists assist with swallowing screenings and cognitive treatment plans whenever caseload coverage is needed on the floor. Working directly with therapy leaders and nursing staff keeps resident care moving smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and swallowing assessments for residents.
• Perform dysphagia evaluations and manage modified diet plans.
• Document resident progress and daily treatment notes in electronic health records.
• Coordinate therapy goals with nursing teams and floor therapists.

Compensation, Schedule & Benefits

• Pay Rate: Starting at $50–$55/hr based on experience
• Schedule: PRN (as needed based on coverage demands)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Must pass a standard criminal background check
• Must pass a drug screening
• Reliable transportation for consistent attendance
