Role purpose

The Proactive TEC Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering a preventative, technology-enabled approach to supporting people across Cornwall. The role is responsible for monitoring, analysing and interpreting information generated through Technology Enabled Care (TEC) solutions, including sensors, proactive monitoring systems, dashboards and digital platforms, to identify trends, risks and changes in an individual's circumstances.

Working closely with the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), Adult Social Care practitioners, health professionals, care providers, customers and families, the Proactive TEC Officer will ensure emerging concerns are identified and acted upon before they escalate into crisis situations.

The role acts as the bridge between data and action, turning information generated by TEC into meaningful interventions that improve independence, wellbeing and safety while supporting more sustainable and preventative models of care.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trends and patterns from multiple data sources.
  • Experience using digital systems, dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on data and evidence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with professionals, customers and families.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and case notes.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and information governance principles.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within Technology Enabled Care services.
  • Experience within an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) environment.
  • Understanding of Adult Social Care and Care Act principles.
  • Experience of remote monitoring technologies and sensor-based systems.
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics or trend analysis.
  • Experience supporting preventative or strengths-based practice.
  • Knowledge of health and social care pathways.
  • Experience producing performance and outcome reports.
  • Understanding of benefits realisation and ROI methodologies.
