Probe Card Application Engineer

About the role

This role involves client qualification and production probe card support, including performing preventive maintenance, assembly, and repair of vertical and MEMS probe cards both onsite and offsite.

Key responsibilities

• Perform PM, assembly and repair of vertical and MEMS probe cards both onsite and offsite
• Debug problematic probe cards to identify root cause and immediate fix, including component checking and replacements
• Coordinate encountered problems and needed fixes to STAr HQ team
• Communicate to HQ on needed spare parts to support AE activities
• Submit WO, BPM, EES approval for probe card PM and repair
• Generate AE related reports and reports to top management
• Communicate with clients regarding help needed and technical inquiries
• Provide communication regarding probe card PM and repair as reference for the manufacturing team
• Provide technical assistance to sales team during technical meetings or discussions with clients in the absence of engineering team
• Provide other support as specified by management

About you

• Must have experience in probe card PM, repair, and assembly process
• 1+ years of experience as probe card engineer
• Must have broad knowledge on vertical and MEMS technology
• Ability to work on very fine pitch probe cards
• Ability to read schematic and design layout
• Able to perform electrical troubleshooting and repair
• Ability to generate reports using PPT, EXCEL, WORDS, PDF and other related formats
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Willing to travel locally and overseas
• Must possess own car for transportation use during application activities
