Base Compensation: $100,000- $150,000 +15% bonus

Company Summary: A recongized and longstanding pulp/paper manufacturer in the Charlotte Metro is searching to add a Process Controls Engineer to its team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work out of one of the largest and most well- recognized paper mills in the country with a collaborative engineering team. You will be responsible for heading up an impressive DCS migration project from Honeywell TDC 3000 to ABB 800XA. As the Senior Process Controls Engineer, you will:

• Provide process control engineering and automation support to the manufacturing facility
• Take ownership over the site's DCS systems (maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading).
• Develop and execute the maintenance related to systems automation to ensure that the facility is kept in an operational state.
• Execute control system configuration and monitoring, and HMI design
• Direct or assist capital engineering and process improvement projects.
• Provide automation system and facility expertise with regulatory agencies on audits etc.
• Apply engineering theory to establish root cause of equipment failures
• Perform equipment performance evaluations

Required Skills/Abilities:

• B.S in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering - preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience with process controls engineering
• Paper & pulp/plastics, or chemical manufacturing experience
• Experience troubleshooting, programming or migrating distributed control systems (DCS) - required
