Process Engineer (Ceramic Manufacturing)

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor kiln operations and process performance to ensure quality and production targets are achieved.
• Optimize firing schedules and process parameters to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Analyze process data and implement improvements to enhance quality, productivity, and energy utilization.
• Investigate product defects and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct product trials, process validation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Maintenance teams on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements.
• Monitor process KPIs, prepare reports, and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams to support manufacturing objectives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in ceramic manufacturing, thermal processing, process engineering, or related manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of kiln operations, firing processes, and ceramic production processes will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, PID controls, or automated manufacturing systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and process data analysis.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Able to prepare technical reports and maintain process documentation.
