Process Engineer

JOB CLASSIFICATION

• Provide technical and engineering solution to maintain a safe and efficient unit operation.
• Responsible for providing process engineering expertise and support and for performing process design and process simulation to achieve orderly and efficient plant operations. Also accountable for long-term enhancement of plant efficiency and capabilities..
• Review/check critical plant parameters and highlight any abnormalities or plant process deviations including observations, troubleshooting action, corrective action and potential causes by adopting appropriate RCFA tools, reporting process and tracking of action closure
• Review/check/trend plant daily critical Unit Consumption against Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and calculate/monitor against Variable Cost (VC) based on AOP Budget Price. Participate in developing yearly AOP for Unit Consumption and Variable Cost
• Reports any unsafe conditions and potential environmental protection problem. To incorporate safety elements into process design. Participate in Risk Assessment study such as HAZOP, MIHITRAC, What If, PSSR, Punchlist, PHA, MOC, RCFA, LOPA etc..
• Develop, design and implement improved process optimization programs. Also documentation of process optimization improvements.
• Perform process design and material balance for plant modification or improvement projects
• Investigate complex plant problems and develop/propose procedures and process modifications to address/solve such problems.
• Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and problems, coordinate with Operations Section Manager in the Operations Department to ensure implementation of process improvement changes.
• To participate, contribute and support the plant HSSE initiatives as necessary to ensure a safe workplace and involve in the area of Integrity Management.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or any equivalent engineering discipline
• Minimum  5 years relevant working experience for senior engineer role.
• Fresh graduate for Junior Engineer.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken)
