Process Engineer

📢 We’re Hiring – Process Engineer | Shenzhen, China

RGP is currently supporting a confidential technology client on an exciting R&D project and is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join the team in Shenzhen .

This role will be based primarily at a contract manufacturing site in Pingshan New District , working closely with both the local China team and an international R&D team.

🔹 Project Overview

This is a hands-on engineering role supporting the development, optimization, and transfer of advanced manufacturing processes for high-tech optical / photonics products.

The successful candidate will act as a key technical interface between R&D and the contract manufacturer, helping drive process stability, yield improvement, troubleshooting, and production readiness.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes

• Work closely with the contract manufacturer on daily engineering activities

• Support process transfer from R&D into manufacturing

• Drive yield improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

• Conduct DOE, process characterization, validation, and failure analysis

• Support production ramp-up and resolve manufacturing issues

• Collaborate closely with China-based teams and overseas R&D engineers

🔹 Preferred Background

• 5+ years of experience in Process Engineering, Process Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

• Experience in optical modules, optoelectronics, photonics, silicon photonics, or optical device manufacturing is highly preferred

• Hands-on experience with Active Alignment / Optical Alignment

• Experience with Die Bonding / Die Attach / Chip Bonding

• Strong knowledge of yield improvement, failure analysis, RCA, and DOE

• Experience working with contract manufacturers / outsourced manufacturing environments is preferred

• Good spoken and written English , with the ability to communicate directly with an international R&D team

📍 Location: Pingshan New District, Shenzhen

🏭 Work Arrangement: Daily onsite work at the contract manufacturer

🌏 Candidates living within approximately one hour of Pingshan are strongly preferred.
