Position Overview:

This position will be responsible for the profile line as well as the entire regrind stream for the SPC side of the facility. This position will require working closely with technicians and with maintenance to understand and resolve problems quickly. This position will work closely to commission several new pieces of equipment for the regrind stream.

Essential Duties:

• Requirement of various troubleshooting skills and the ability to make quick sound decisions.

• Responsible for reviewing and disposition of quality, including root cause analysis and prevention.

• Submit expense and capital projects for future machine modifications.

• Coordinate trials with R&D.

• Work closely with Corporate Engineering and site maintenance to ensure the reliability of the equipment.

• Maintain Six Sigma projects utilizing appropriate tools for asset reliability improvement, downtime reduction, etc.

• Develop relationships with manufacturing technical, research and development and other departments at RP to ensure improvements.

• Provide effective and timely reports for the facility and corporate management. Collect, analyze, and make recommendations using financial reports and Engineering tools to drive improvement and cost reductions.

• Organize and execute assigned projects while maintaining records on the projects and develop training documentation for new and existing processes to include the writing of work instructions.

• Build relationships with all associates to coach, train and develop.

• Be a champion for safety at the facility

• Ability to lead co-ops

• Meet with management teams to ensure progress towards facility goals.

• Work on projects assigned by the Manager and any other duties requested.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree required; Engineering Degree preferred.

• Understanding of computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Minitab, Google, etc.

• Ability to present information in professional and user-friendly presentations.

• Strong quantitative & communication skills (Oral, written, & presentation to individuals & groups)

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work without close Supervision.

Preferred:

• Previous Process or Project Engineering Experience (including co-op, OMT experience)

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred. Must be willing to go through Six Sigma training.

• Previous Continuous Line or Milling experience preferred.

Based on experience, this role can be filled as an S05 or S06.
