Process Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing processes for electronic components and assemblies, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality standards
• Conduct process analysis, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
• Establish and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions
• Perform process capability studies and statistical analysis to monitor process performance
• Manage process validation and qualification activities to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards
• Support capital equipment selection, installation, and commissioning for manufacturing operations
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to ensure workplace safety and environmental compliance
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff and production personnel
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and process improvement proposals for management review

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing operations, or related field
• Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including surface mount technology (SMT), printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, and quality control methods
• Proficiency in process optimisation techniques, statistical analysis, and lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions
• Experience with manufacturing software systems and data analysis tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of ISO standards, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software applications
