Process Engineering consists of the analysis of operations and the development of procedures and processes to be used by various groups such as production, service , test, and quality. Plan, conduct or coordinate a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Conduct or coordinate complex analyses and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations. Execute advanced technical studies, their potential application and the resolution of complex problems. Manage or coordinate engineering projects of substantial impact to the company. Proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.

Core responsibilities -
Defines the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.
Ensures appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets.
Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
Ensures the production process complies with the project targets.
Approves the design for processes developed internally or externally and performs final tests with respect to the project.
Provides support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.

Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SAP (or similar ERPs) is strongly preferred
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and 5S is preferred

What are the top 3 hard must have skills required for this role? (These would be non-negotiable and get the candidate an interview) - Process engineering knowledge like Lean Six Sigma (Wastes and process variations), 5S, PFEP (planning ofr every part, Kanban etc). Production line design experience (manual, semi-auto & auto), defines maturing strategy depending on volumes and selects the best technology to suite the reqmt. Know how labor routing works and is defined. Technical documentation of process - Work instructions, Standard operating procedures, ABRAs etc. Knowledge of AutoCad, FlexSIM (or equivalent simulation software), SAP, MS office.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
