Process Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our operations team in the Tuas West Region. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in optimising and maintaining our manufacturing processes. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering high-quality food products whilst maintaining operational excellence and continuous improvement across our facilities.

What you'll be doing

• Hands-on in operating Pilot Plant process/fill/pack run to achieve target output (prototype trial, commercial run). This includes ensuring manpower/equipment/material readiness, site GMP, operation SOP adherence, food safety compliance, etc.
• Participate design, installation and operation qualification of new or modified equipment and process lines.
• Work with Engineering team to maintain equipment breakdown & preventive maintenance, annual PE inspection, calibration program, etc
• Review Pilot Plant workplace safety and health risk assessment and sustain rightful safety culture.
• Participate production commissioning project of other business units.
• Manage packaging material inventory and staging area housekeeping.
• Establish / review Pilot Plant SOP and maintain documentation.
• Establish data collection system to ensure forward planning and minimum disruption to pilot plant trial.
• Undertake other assignments and projects as assigned by superior.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline

• 3–5 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing operations, preferably within the food and beverage industry

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, process optimisation techniques and lean methodologies

• Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000 and relevant regulatory requirements

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex operational challenges

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety

• Project management capability and experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously

• Willingness to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
