Process Engineer

About the role

The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, improving, and optimizing warehouse operations and contract logistics solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service quality. This role will oversee the end-to-end process of logistics projects, from solution design and warehouse layout planning to system implementation and continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, IT, Engineering, and Business Development teams to deliver effective and cost-efficient logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end scope of logistics and warehouse improvement projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and implementation.
• Design and develop warehouse layouts that optimize space utilization, workflow efficiency, storage capacity, and operational productivity.
• Conduct operational studies and analyse existing warehouse processes to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and workflow documentation to support operational excellence.
• Participate in new business implementations, warehouse start-ups, and operational transitions.
• Evaluate manpower requirements, warehouse equipment, storage systems, and material flow to improve operational performance.
• Support solution design activities, including capacity planning, storage strategy, and warehouse process optimization.
• Work closely with the Solutions IT team to ensure Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and other logistics technologies support operational requirements.
• Assist in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), process validation, and system implementation activities.
• Monitor project milestones, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with customer and company requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in process engineering, warehouse engineering, contract logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, material handling, and logistics processes.
• Experience in warehouse layout design, facility planning, and workflow optimization.
• Good knowledge of Contract Logistics operations and solution design.
• Strong systems knowledge with experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, or other logistics applications.
• IT-savvy with the ability to understand system integration, digitalization initiatives, automation, and warehouse technologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
