Process Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

PT Cipta Orion Metal is looking for a Process Engineer to make factory processes faster, more precise and more efficient. You will find bottlenecks and quality problems on the production floor, then solve them with well-designed jigs, fixtures and standardized work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor production processes routinely to identify bottlenecks, quality problems (defect rate), and wear or damage of existing jigs and fixtures.
• Redesign jigs, fixtures and production aids in SolidWorks 3D to shorten cycle time and improve precision.
• Create 3D models of jig and fixture components and assemblies, and convert them into precise 2D shop drawings in SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
• Lead continuous-improvement projects to raise process efficiency, and standardize work through Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Prepare jig and fixture engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOM) and Factory Layout Improvement Proposals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in process improvement, tooling, production engineering or drafting in a manufacturing or special purpose machine industry.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; proficient in MS Office.
• Understands types of materials, machining processes and the concept of jigs and fixtures.
• Project management skills.
• Understands K3.
