Process Engineer

Primary Purpose of Position

To support production in the goal of achieving the requisite level of on time delivery by ensuring the appropriate manufacturing processes are developed, engineered and implemented within the Glenair manufacturing system.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in sustaining maximum quality and on time delivery by ensuring manufacturing processes are appropriate, available, and documented accordingly.
• Develop prototypes and compile relevant documentation.
• Ensure all new processes and production improvement initiatives are sustained.
• Minimise the risk of internal rejects by including preventative measures in production processes.
• Work with production engineering regarding the requirements for jigs/fixtures and the way these are designed.
• Recommend and work with design to suggest improvements to help with building the products.
• Take ownership of routings for the creation and updating of existing routings.

Person Specification

• Must have experience within production build procedures for: a connector range, quality control, delegation skills, good time management & leadership, coaching and communicating skills.
• Minimum qualification: HND in Engineering or equivalent industry experience, is essential
