Process Engineer (Contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and process calculations.
• Perform basic process engineering calculations, including mass and energy balances.
• Support equipment sizing and specification for pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, compressors, control valves, and pipelines.
• Prepare process datasheets, line lists, utility consumption, and equipment lists.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and design review meetings.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Electrical, and Instrument disciplines.
• Review vendor documents and incorporate comments into engineering deliverables.
• Ensure engineering work complies with project specifications, international codes, and company standards.
• Support commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and process optimization activities when required.
• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Complete assigned tasks within project schedules and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Process Engineering.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power Plant, or Industrial Process is an advantage.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
