Process Engineer - Manufacturing/NPD

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and optimize manufacturing routings, process flows, and work center data in the ERP/MRP system to ensure accurate production planning and execution.
• Conduct time studies, method studies, and process analysis to establish standard cycle times and identify opportunities for productivity improvement.
• Drive cycle time reduction initiatives by eliminating bottlenecks, reducing non-value-added activities, and improving process efficiency.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and waste elimination to enhance operational performance.
• Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify process improvement, cost reduction, and capacity enhancement opportunities.
• Develop and implement process improvements, line balancing, and layout optimization projects to improve throughput and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Planning, and Maintenance teams to resolve process issues and ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions, while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Processes.
• Experience in ERP/MRP routing creation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Time Study, Method Study, Work Measurement, and Line Balancing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
• Understanding of Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Knowledge of production planning and capacity analysis.
• Familiarity with process improvement and cost reduction methodologies.
• Good analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and manufacturing reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and statistical process analysis.
• Experience with AutoCAD or process layout software.
• Exposure to Industry 4.0, automation, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC/HMC machining processes
• Tool design exposure (fixtures, jigs, gauges)
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan
• CADsoftware (AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo)
• Problem-solving & analytical skills
• Knowledge of GD&T
