Process Engineer, Medical Industry

About the role

Work on new product processes from drawing review and costing through trials and improvement. This role suits an engineer who enjoys practical problem solving on the production floor and working with Sales, Quality and Production.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications; prepare quotation costing worksheets covering material usage, layout, yield, cycle time, and machine or tooling choices.
• Assess manufacturability and develop processes for new parts and customer projects.
• Plan trials, coordinate project schedules, and report progress, cost and performance against agreed targets.
• Improve cycle time, material yield, machine capability and throughput through practical process changes or automation proposals.
• Work with Quality to investigate defects, identify root causes and verify corrective actions.
• Support Sales with technical input and solutions for customer requirements.

About you

• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• A practical approach to data analysis, improvement proposals and coordinating several priorities.
• Around 3–5 years of relevant experience is preferred. Fresh graduates and early career engineers with relevant project or internship experience are welcome to apply.
• Manufacturing and ISO 13485 medical device experience are advantages. Experience using AI tools or agents in engineering work is also an advantage.
