What they need

At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible - from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.

We're looking for a Process Engineer – Motor Manufacturing to develop, implement, and improve the manufacturing processes behind our next generation of drone motors.

You'll bridge motor development and day-to-day manufacturing, translating engineering requirements into reliable and scalable production processes while working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Test teams.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing and assembly processes for drone motors and related components
  • Translate motor designs, drawings, specifications, BOMs, and engineering data into reliable and scalable manufacturing methods
  • Review motor designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) and recommend improvements
  • Define production processes, parameters, tooling, fixtures, equipment, work instructions, inspection points, balancing, and testing requirements
  • Support prototype builds, New Product Introduction (NPI), production transfer, ramp-up, and implementation of product and process changes
  • Develop and improve motor inspection and testing processes, including electrical, performance, balancing, vibration, and end-of-line testing
  • Investigate manufacturing issues, defects, test failures, and process deviations, driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Improve process capability, yield, cycle time, quality, efficiency, and scalability through standardization, automation, waste reduction, and continuous improvement

What We Expect

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Professional experience in process, manufacturing, production, industrial engineering, or a closely related technical role
  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes for electric motors, electromechanical products, or mechanically integrated assemblies
  • Knowledge of motor manufacturing processes such as winding, insulation, soldering, bonding, balancing, bearing installation, and assembly
  • Experience developing, documenting, implementing, and improving manufacturing or assembly processes
  • Ability to work with technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, work instructions, process documentation, and engineering changes
  • Experience with structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, process validation, and continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills, with working proficiency in English

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with drone propulsion systems, brushless electric motors, ESCs, stators, rotors, windings, magnets, bearings, or related motor technologies
  • Experience with NPI, prototype builds, production transfer, or production ramp-up
  • Knowledge of DFM/DFA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process-improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, automation, CAD, balancing systems, or test and data-acquisition tools

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE

Our office is a drone testing playground, and every day starts with an idea no one has tried before. We move fast, learn constantly, and foster a culture of innovation. With flexible working hours, real hands-on testing, and a team that challenges the limits of technology, working at Orqa means working on the edge of what’s possible.

And that’s just the beginning - here are a few more reasons why you’ll love working at Orqa:

  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Meal and transportation compensation
  • Kindergarten expenses coverage and newborn bonus
  • Internal workshops & lectures
  • Career development & growth opportunities within a fast-scaling tech environment
  • Extra vacation days
