About the role

We are seeking for a skilled Process Engineer (Resin Industry) to join the dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Semenyih, Selangor, where you will play a crucial role in optimizing and managing chemical processes within the resin manufacturing sector. As a Process Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring operational efficiency, quality consistency, and continuous improvement across our production facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging technical projects whilst contributing to the strategic objectives of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for resin production to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Conduct process simulations and modelling using industry-standard software to predict performance and identify potential improvements
• Monitor and analyze process parameters, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime and defects
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, and process specifications
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth execution of process improvements and capital projects
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to maintain safety standards across all operations
• Support scaling up of batch processes from laboratory to pilot and commercial scales
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in resin manufacturing and chemical engineering
• Participate in project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation

Job requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience in process engineering, preferably in the resin, polymers, or specialty chemicals industry

• Strong knowledge of chemical process design, thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and unit operations

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly

• Knowledge of resin chemistry, including polyester, epoxy, or polyurethane systems, would be highly valued
