Process Engineer-Substrate Manufacturing

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform substrate manufacturing operations from crystal growth, ingot slicing, wafer coring, edge grinding, wafer polishing, chemical cleaning, metrology measurements, and packaging wafers as epi-ready GaSb substrates.

• Operate equipment in a manufacturing environment to setup and control operating parameters.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order. Perform minor maintenance and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Recognize, communicate, and respond to process and equipment deviations. Collaborate with the team to help identify root cause and corrective actions.
• Participate actively with the team in the continuous improvement of existing processes and procedures.
• Inventory tracking and management.
• Ensure cleanliness of the area and equipment and perform general and routine housekeeping tasks.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or bachelor degree in electronics or material science related field preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to safely work with electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards.
• Detail oriented and ability to identify defects and process problems.
• Physical Demands Requirement: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Desired Skills:

• Manufacturing process and equipment troubleshooting experience.
• Strong chemistry background.
• Previous experience in semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Good communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
