Process Engineer - Wire Bond / Die Bond

About the role

Provide technical and sustaining engineering support for manufacturing operations. Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiency, manufacturing methods, and yield for existing products. Work with product design and development teams to ensure manufacturing processes are compatible with product designs, and support problem solving for issues of moderate scope and complexity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and conduct statistical analyses, including Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC), to identify the physical causes of yield loss and improve product quality
• Drive continuous improvement in yield, bone-pile reduction, and cost reduction
• Support R&D, PLM, FAE, PE, TE, QE, Supply Chain, Finance, Planning, and Manufacturing teams to ensure a smooth transition from NPI through mass production
• Coordinate tasks and engineering changes with internal teams and contract manufacturing (CM) partners
• Support problem solving for issues of moderate scope and complexity

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• At least five years of manufacturing experience, preferably with electronic or optical products
• Process expertise or development experience in optical alignment is preferred, particularly with die bonding, wire bonding, lid sealing, and leak testing
• Knowledge of the construction and operation of common electronic and optical components, along with familiarity with related terminology
• Strong interest and ability in solving complex problems, including diagnosing and resolving common issues with electronic and optical components and circuits
• Strong analytical skills; self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Thai
• Flexibility to support early-morning or evening conference calls with North America
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, customers, and engineering team members
• Ability to set priorities and work effectively in stressful situations
