Process Engineering Manager

The Process Engineering Manager leads the development, optimization, qualification, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for Chip on Carrier products. This role manages process engineers and technicians while ensuring that production processes are capable, efficient, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant with quality and safety standards. This role requires close collaboration with Product, Equipment, Quality, Operations, and global technical teams to support product transfer, capacity expansion, yield improvement and high-volume manufacturing.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the development, optimization, and qualification of manufacturing processes on both assembly and test
• Drive improvements in yield, quality, process capability, productivity and cost through data-driven problem solving
• Manage product transfer, equipment commissioning, process validation, and production ramp-up activities
• Lead root-cause investigations and preventive/corrective actions for process defects, reliability concerns, and manufacturing issues
• Manage, develop, and mentor process engineers and technicians with close stakeholder coordination like Product Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Quality, Operations and global technical teams

Education & Experience

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical
• With 5+ years of experience in semiconductor, laser, photonics or optoelectronics manufacturing
• At least 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams with expertise in process development, qualification, yield improvement, and production ramp-up; Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.

Skills

• Demonstrates deep knowledge and broad experience in manufacturing processes for both assembly and testing such as die attach, thermal cycling, burn-in, test, etc
• Strong skills in process development, qualification, validation, SPC, DOE, PFMEA, GR&R, and capability analysis
• Proven ability to lead root-cause analysis, yield improvement, defect reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Effective leadership, team development, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong business judgment, technical communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder-management competencies

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite. This will require working inside the cleanroom.
