Process Improvement Engineer (PIE)

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimize production line layout, perform line balancing, work method analysis, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity
• Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) by identifying process issues and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions
• Lead the implementation of new equipment, manufacturing processes, technologies, tools, fixtures, and jigs to enhance production capability and product quality
• Provide technical support during New Product Introduction (NPI), production ramp-up, and mass production to ensure smooth production readiness
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
• Conduct process training and provide technical guidance to production operators to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and drive continuous improvement

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing, including at least 1 year in the LED lighting industry or electronics manufacturing
• Familiar with lighting product manufacturing processes, including SMT, Assembly, aging test, packaging
• Good knowledge of quality management system, lighting product standard (e.g. IEC 60598, GB/T 24908, or equivalent), and product safety requirements
• Mandarin language proficiency is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking production personnel and overseas stakeholders
