Job-Type: 7- Month Contract
Salary Range : $55.00- $65.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Management & Process Improvement Specialist to help establish, implement, and sustain repeatable business processes, policies, and procedures across the organization. This individual will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to translate recommendations and compliance requirements into actionable processes that employees can consistently follow.
This role focuses on process improvement, organizational accountability, change management, and long-term adoption rather than traditional project management centered primarily on schedules, budgets, and deliverables. The ideal candidate has experience improving operational workflows, implementing policies, establishing accountability structures, and helping organizations successfully adopt new ways of working.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess
Development & Improvement
- Assess existing business processes, policies, and procedures to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop standardized, repeatable processes to support consistent policy implementation and compliance.
- Establish clear workflows, roles, responsibilities, and expectations for process execution.
- Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Translate recommendations and identified gaps into practical, sustainable business practices.
Accountability & Compliance
- Develop accountability structures to ensure employees and teams consistently follow established policies and procedures.
- Define process ownership, responsibilities, checkpoints, and escalation paths.
- Establish tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor adoption, compliance, and process effectiveness.
- Partner with leadership and department managers to address gaps in execution and reinforce accountability.
- Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supporting guidelines.
Change Management & Organizational Adoption
- Develop and support change management strategies for new processes, policies, and organizational initiatives.
- Apply established change management methodologies, such as ADKAR, to improve employee engagement and adoption.
- Identify potential resistance to change and develop strategies to address barriers to adoption.
- Coordinate communications, training, and stakeholder engagement to support successful implementation.
- Monitor adoption and reinforce new processes to ensure changes are sustained over time.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to align processes with organizational objectives.
- Facilitate working sessions to identify process gaps, define requirements, and develop improvement plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure consistent implementation of policies and procedures.
- Track action items, implementation progress, and outstanding issues to drive timely follow-through.
- Communicate progress, risks, recommendations, and improvement opportunities to key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, business operations, organizational change management, or a related discipline.
- Experience developing, implementing, and standardizing business processes, policies, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of accountability frameworks, process ownership, and compliance monitoring.
- Experience coordinating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and organizational leadership.
- Ability to translate high-level recommendations into actionable implementation plans and sustainable operational practices.
- Experience supporting organizational change, employee adoption, and process compliance.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive follow-through without relying solely on formal authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean process improvement, continuous improvement, or operational excellence methodologies.
- Familiarity with ADKAR, Prosci, or other structured change management frameworks.
- Experience developing SOPs, process maps, workflows, and accountability or compliance reporting.
- Experience implementing policies and procedures in a technical, IT, security, or regulated environment.
- Experience measuring process effectiveness through KPIs, compliance metrics, adoption tracking, or operational reporting.
Certifications
Relevant certifications in Lean, process improvement, project management, or change management are beneficial but not required. Demonstrated hands-on experience and a track record of successfully implementing sustainable organizational changes are more important than certifications.
Employment Eligibility: Gravity cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer directly (we are not open to contract or “corp to corp” agreements).
