Process Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Principal Engineering, the Process Manager plays a critical role in ensuring all MRO processes conform to requirements from airworthiness authorities, manufacturers and customers. The Process Manager is the process subject matter expert who will work closely across all Value Streams to maintain robustness of Machining, Plating, NDT, Painting/ Sermetel and Laboratory activities in line with Policy Deployment objectives. The role also requires leading the maintenance team to ensure overall availability and efficient operation of all plant infrastructures and production machinery and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Champion robust processes/methods that meet requirements of airworthiness authorities and OEM's by performing regular audits and follow-up action plans.
• Champion initiatives in Lean Sigma practices, HSE, Ergonomics, standardizing best practices in all Value Streams for the special processes in compliance with Group-level policies.
• Lead improvement projects utilizing Lean-Sigma methodology to meet Policy Deployment initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and resources to resolve issues pertaining to repair/overhaul of landing gears and related components.
• Establish new special process capability as well as providing training to workshop personnel.
• Provide system engineering and technical support to maximize plant reliability, efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead renovation, facilities improvement and upgrading project works.

About you

• Engineering graduate or equivalent combined with relevant experience
• Knowledge of Electroplating processes
• Knowledge of NDT methods
• Knowledge of Machining processes
• Knowledge of Mechanical and Process Design
• Knowledge of Materials Technology
• Comprehensive understanding of the MRO business environment and its commercial drivers and customer needs
• Working knowledge of Lean principles tools and improvement techniques coupled with a proven track record of implementing value-added improvements
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the Special Process Manufacturing Industry
• Excellent communication skills throughout all levels of the Value Stream
