Process Operator - Multiple opportunities

Bush’s Proteins is seeking several Process Operators to join our Process team at Bromelton. This is a full-time role responsible for safely and efficiently operating rendering plant equipment, maintaining stable production flow and supporting reliable plant performance.

About the role

As a Process Operator, you will:

• Operate rendering equipment including cookers, presses, centrifuges, dryers, conveyors, boilers and associated systems.
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, flows and product quality indicators.
• Adjust plant controls to optimise throughput and product specifications.
• Conduct regular plant inspections and identify abnormal operating conditions.
• Receive, load and transfer raw materials.
• Monitor quality, collect samples and maintain accurate production records.
• Complete basic preventative maintenance, cleaning and minor adjustments.
• Assist maintenance teams during repairs, shutdowns and start-ups.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Experience in heavy industrial processing, food manufacturing or a similar environment is preferred.
• An ability to understand equipment operation and plant conditions.
• Confidence interpreting gauges, temperatures, pressures and process trends.
• Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

You’ll also need to be comfortable working in a hot, noisy and odorous industrial environment, performing manual tasks and accessing stairs and elevated platforms. The role requires availability for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Safety is a key part of the role. You’ll be expected to follow site WHS, PPE, hygiene, biosecurity and environmental requirements, report hazards and incidents, participate in safety activities and only operate equipment when appropriately trained and authorised.
