What they need

Role: Process Quality Engineer (Charger)

Department: New Product Development Location: Bengaluru, India Experience: 3+ Years

Your Team:

You'll be working with New Product Development — a group that runs on coffee and an infectious passion for building products that have never been built before. Our Flexible Energy Stack consists of the e^pack (battery pack) and e^pump (charging station), which unlock 15-minute rapid charging.

Our philosophy:

Break. Believe. Build.

Break stuff, break assumptions, break the thumb rule.

Believe in the team, the process, and through failures.

Build fast, build passionately, build to simplify.

Own it like you mean it.

What you'll own:

We are seeking a Process Quality Engineer to own manufacturing and build-stage quality for our charger product line, ensuring build processes consistently deliver on design intent from PFMEA through end-of-line testing and field commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on manufacturing quality experience, strong RCA instincts, and comfort traveling to installation sites to see products through to operational readiness.

What you'll do:

Process Quality & PFMEA

  • Apply PFMEA to charger manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Identify and mitigate build-stage quality risks before they impact production
  • Define End-of-Line (EOL) test requirements and acceptance criteria

Build Quality & RCA

  • Run root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) on issues surfaced during build and manufacturing
  • Track corrective actions to closure with manufacturing and design teams
  • Translate design specifications into manufacturing test cases

Field Commissioning

  • Travel to installation sites to commission chargers post-installation
  • Certify chargers as ready for operation following commissioning checks
  • Capture and report field commissioning issues back to design and process teams

Continuous Improvement

  • Support process audits and layered process audits (LPA)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce build defects

What you'll bring:

  • Education qualification
  • B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or process quality engineering
  • Working knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, and EOL test definition
  • Familiarity with RCA methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)
  • Willingness to travel for site commissioning work

Preferred Experience (Good to Have):

  • Prior experience in electronics or power product manufacturing
  • Exposure to EV charger or field commissioning work
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 process documentation

What matters to us:

  • Quality of work
  • Structured problem-solving
  • Dissatisfaction with mediocre work
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a dynamic working environment
  • Resilient attitude to bounce back after failing
