Process Safety Design Lead

Key Responsibilities

* Lead Process Safety / Technical Safety engineering activities throughout basic and detailed design.

* Conduct and lead HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA and risk assessment studies.

* Develop and review Fire & Gas philosophy, Cause & Effect, hazardous area classification and safety philosophies.

* Perform/review firewater demand, fire protection, dispersion, radiation and consequence modelling studies.

* Review relief, flare, depressurization and emergency shutdown requirements.

* Develop/review safety layouts, escape routes, muster points and safety equipment requirements.

* Ensure process safety requirements are incorporated into PFDs, P&IDs, layouts and equipment design.

* Review vendor documents and resolve process safety-related technical queries.

* Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil and HSE teams.

* Support construction, commissioning, start-up and close-out of safety study recommendations.

* Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable international codes and standards.

Qualification & Experience

* Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant Engineering discipline.

* 10–15 years of Process Safety / Technical Safety engineering experience.

* Strong experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical and EPC/EPCC projects.

* Strong knowledge of HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA, QRA and consequence analysis.

* Familiarity with software such as PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTieXP or equivalent will be preferred.

* Good knowledge of API, NFPA, IEC, ISO and relevant international safety standards.

* Previous experience leading process safety activities on major projects is highly desirable.

Pay: Rs250,000.00 - Rs350,000.00 per month
